EL PASO - Juárez mayoral candidate Héctor Murguía took his campaign to El Paso today, proposing more taxation to solve the organized crime and economic problems of his city.
He appeared before about 60 businessmen with ties to Juárez. The group, called La Red, or the Network, heard Murguía’s ideas at Paco Wong’s restaurant on the West Side. The organization was founded in February by professionals who moved to El Paso as a result of the drug cartel violence plaguing Juárez’s streets.
